Nancy L. Polli, MA
As a therapist for over 30 years, I have a wide range of experience with people and issues. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (1986 MFC22416). I am committed to and awed by the process of change and transformation that occurs when motivated clients deepen their understanding of themselves and those they love and then translate that understanding to take new and more effective action.
Although I use a wide range of techniques, I tend to be Solution-Focused in my approach. I have a positive, supportive and straight-forward style. I use humor, homework and specific relationship skill building tools to assist clients in creating their best relationships with themselves and others that they care about.
I have run a successful private practice since 1988, seeing children, teens, individual adults, couples and families. I also have 22 years experience with government and private non-profit agencies. Much of my agency experience was with family violence and abuse issues.
I am certified as a Prepare/Enrich counselor, which allows me to use specialized assessment tools to assist both couples who are planning to marry and those who are already together. I have another certification which allows me to supervise marriage and family therapy interns who are gaining the 3000 hours needed for MFT licensure. Lastly, I am a certified hypnotherapist and a graduate of the Coaches Training Institute.
